The Game Inquirer says... "The latest chapter in the Resident Evil series is here sort of with Resident Evil Revelations Episode 1 now available on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC Download. With four episodes out each week we thought wed show off what we feel is the best feature within the game, Raid Mode with a full written review at once all were officially out."

| Resident Evil Revelations 2 needs more Barry and less Claire, after playing Episode 2

MMGN writes,
Towards the end of Revelations 2s second episode, Contemplation, I was struck with a revelation (pun firmly intended); Resident Evil is in dire need of a reboot.
The nail-bitting end to Contemplation proves Resident Evil needs a fresh start. The plot twist assumes the player has prior knowledge of the series, and therefore the impact should carry a certain weight. But it's ridiculous a series held in such high regard continues to lean on the past, and old friends, to carry it forward while leaving those unfamiliar out in the cold

IGN:
With its furious pace, tough boss battles and punishing lack of supplies, Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 2 makes the first episode feel leisurely in comparison. While still defiantly an action game, surviving in Revelations 2 is now a much tougher prospect. In other words; now were in business.

GamesAsylum: "Capcoms first foray into episodic gaming doesnt mess around. During a casual evening event Claire Redfield and her fellow TerraSave terrorist-fighting buddies are confronted by mysterious, gun toting, party crashers. Following the surprise attack, Claire awakens in a disused penal colony with some kind of electronic tag bound to her arm. Dubiously coloured water runs down the walls, filth coats the floors and screaming can be heard echoing through the colonys corridors.
Within mere minutes of the game starting numerous questions instantly spring to mind, such as who rudely cut the celebrations short, and both the whereabouts and safety of the other TerraSave members"
